Stuck, found a bug, or need a person? Here's how to reach us, and what you can do yourself right now.

Tell us what you were trying to do, your username, and the phone and iOS version you're on. A screenshot helps.

Report a post, a comment or a person

Tap the ⋯ on any post, the flag on any comment, or the ⋯ on a profile, then Report. Pick a reason and add a note if you like. Reports are anonymous, and a person, not a bot, looks at every one within 24 hours. Anything that breaks the community rules comes down, and the account can be limited or closed.

Block someone

Open their profile, tap ⋯, then Block. The two of you stop seeing each other's posts, comments and messages straight away. Undo it any time in Settings → Blocked.

Delete your account

Settings → Delete account, at the bottom. If you have an authenticator app on, it asks for your code first. Your clips, photos, posts, comments, messages, likes and follows go with the account, and so do the email and password; the only exception is anything the law makes us keep for a child-safety report. An account still on the waiting list can delete itself from the waiting room, under Sign out.

Your data

To ask for a copy of what we hold, or to correct or delete it, email thefern.app@gmail.com from the address on your account with “Privacy request” in the subject. The Privacy Policy says what we keep and for how long; we don't sell or share any of it.

Can't sign in

On the sign-in screen, Forgot your password? emails you a reset link, and Email me a code instead signs you in without one. If you've lost the phone with your authenticator app, email us from the address on the account and we'll help.

Something looks wrong

A price or a headline that's off, a clip that won't play, a button that does nothing: email us with what you saw and where. Nothing on Fern is financial advice, and we don't trade or hold money for anyone, so a question about an order or a balance belongs with your broker.
